Having left Starkville for the summer, I knew I needed a place to store some of my items. Seeing as I was looking for a storage unit that was well priced and in a decent area, I was happy to have found you guys. Not only was it super convenient since it was right next to campus, it also was in a safe area and it prevent water from reaching in. The only issue I have is that there is no way to cancel the unit online. That being said, a day after I had moved out, I got a message asking if I left and after responding, they went ahead and cancelled the unit in my place.

I was so excited that they reached out back to me to let me know the details, dimensions, what the payment plan options and other options for a storage unit. Malven walked me through everything where I had to do docusign through my email he even offered to put a lock on my storage shed and gave me the hours and times of operation. The process was very smooth and seem less and it took less than 15 minutes.

I set this up from several states away for my daughter who is at the University. Everyone I spoke to was incredibly helpful, and that made it very easy for my daughter to find the facility, find her unit and they even helped her with some of her heavier objects. The entire location was very clean and clearly labeled and all the equipment worked perfectly (i.e. Door, lock, etc.). We will definitely be back next year, and I would give my highest recommendation of 'Your Extra Closet' to anyone needing storage.

We have a student in Starkville that moved into a small location and she and her roommates did not have room for all of their items. We asked around and Your Extra Closet kept coming up as the go to storage option. We had used storage many years ago but WOW has it changed. Everyone at YEC was very helpful and accommodating. I would rate it 5 star except for the computer glitch that delayed us getting into the yard on our first day. Unfortunately it was a Saturday afternoon and understandably staffing for the phone was somewhat less. By the time we got a call back in half an hour, the problem was fixed and tested. The units are clean, and the lock was available as promised. Would recommend them.

Pros: Can fill out paperwork online and rent a unit without ever talking to someone. This makes move in easy! Nice features: They have a zip tie to help keep the door open when you are moving in, they just installed ramps at the door and trolleys are provided for using to move your stuff between the road and the storage unit. In theory you can use their truck in town, but it takes a few weeks to get that reserved. It's never available spur of the moment.Cons: The roads and aisles aren't really wide enough if there are a lot of people there, a lot of stuff in a hallway or someone with a moving truck. Also, even if you move out in the first day or two of the month, you have to pay the full month rent. They will threaten you with late fees and lawyers if you ask for them to just take the security deposit for that period. Not very nice people. Go down the road to Clayton Village Mini Storage and they will just take your security deposit and write off the rest of that month's rent. Yes you have to talk to them in person to rent a unit but they are nicer.
